Car Charger?

Do you need to buy a dedicated car charger for this thing? I've read that you can't charge this thing by just using the usb cord/outlet?

Reason I ask is my wifes new car has a usb outlet for charging phones and such. Just wondering if I need to purchase one of those cigarette lighter chargers instead. Haven't had a chance to go out to the car and just check yet LOL.

From what I've read, you'll need the cigarette lighter charger as it has the correct 15VDC output. The USB ports is probably only pushing out 5VDC.

What about one of those dual usb car/cigarette chargers? I have one of those as well.

Fyi, I got around to trying the built in usb in our new car as well as the aftermarket dual usb cigarette charger I use for my phone. Neither worked so it looks like I have to order one...

Very odd, but good to know. I know the charger is a little different, but I thought you could still use it on your computer USB or any cigarette lighter adapter, only it will take a longer time to charge.
