    I turned off the tablet last night and when I turned it on this morning. It has a horizontal line across the screen
    all of the time. Has anyone experienced this? Is their a fix or do I need to call Asus? Thanks

    GOOD NEWS!! We received our transformer yesterday fixed and shipped for FREE, 11 days after Asus got
    it. Very satisfied. This is for a tablet that is over a year old and out of warranty. I WILL DEFINITELY BUY ANOTHER
    ASUS PRODUCT.

    Do you see the horizontal line as soon as you power on the tablet or only once the OS has fully loaded?

    The line appears right away and has different colors in sections. Once the os is loaded, it appears as
    a very thin horizontal black line in the middle of the screen. It is always their, no matter what app is running.

    It seems like a hardware issue. Perhaps something wrong with the LCD or graphics subsystem. It sounds like a call for warranty support is in order.

    I never buy extended warranties. That is another thread; research why every retailer is pushing
    that scenario. Do you think retailers are doing that because consumers are coming out ahead?

    Oh, I've learned...I don't buy the warranties anymore and my devices have been just fine without it.
