How to Root Transformer Prime on Windows, Mac, and Linux!

I made a 1-click automated script for all Windows, Mac, and Linux and video tutorials for Transformer Prime ICS. You don't need to install SDK or anything like that, all the files you need are included in the downloads.

Roots, install su binaries, Superuser app, and busybox.

Credits and Huge thanks to [Only registered users can view links. ], which the script was based on.

For Windows:
Install USB drivers first: [Only registered users can view links. ]

Then use this 1-click script:

Video tutorial for Windows:

For Mac or Linux:
You don't need drivers, just download this and run runmelinux.sh or runmemac.sh:

Video tutorial for Mac or Linux:

If you are having trouble on Mac/Linux with permission errors,

try doing:

Quote:
chmod 755 *
to set all files in the directory to execute.

Don't thank me, I just made scripts and tutorials. Thank the guy who found root first.

Has any one else tried this? I can't find much proof that this works and I don't want to be a guinea pig.

@ allan1313 I have the same problem you had, what did you find? When I try to update the "Transformer Prime TF201" drivers to "ASUS Android Composite ADB Interface" it tells me that the folder with the "android_winusb.inf" does not contain a compatible driver.

Thanks

Its not in the "Transformer Prime TF201" driver. Mine came up as "Android" or "Android Phone" . You have to update the drivers under that in the device manager. Then the rest is cake. Let me know if this helps if not I will connect to my computer when I get a chance to see exactly what it was.
