Zenpad 8 sleeps when changing to landscape, why does it do this?

Zenpad 8 sleeps when changing to landscape

I have an Asus Z580CA tablet. When using Chrome, if I hand the table to someone to switch the orientation to landscape, it goes to sleep. Does anyone know how to disable this behavior? Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! It's definitely associated with the change in orientation, and not just a coincidence of how long the screen has been on without being touched, right?

Does this happen with any other app if it changes from portrait to landscape, or only Chrome?

I'd suggest a cache partition wipe, but according to this thread, that's not possible with this tablet: http://forums.androidcentral.com/asus-zenpad-s-8-0/607752-how-wipe-cache-partition-z580c.html
