Since we don't have a section for bikes I figured I would create a thread here. To post pictures, share stories, etc.

I'll start off with a few pictures of my 97 Softail Custom, which has just over 60,000 miles on it.

The picture withe the flags was taken before I changed the exhaust.

I'm a bike rider myself. 2007 Suzuki GsXR 1000 and gonna purchase a Honda Fury Chopper this summer. I love bikes and it was a great idea for you to start A bike thread

Do you have any pictures to share?

I was also thinking of posting links to YouTube videos etc, but we'll see how the thread goes.

As for stories, one of my scariest rides was on my way home from. Work one night while I was on my OLD Sportster and I hit a deer while going about 45. I didn't lay the bike down but it was close. I thought I broke my leg but I was very lucky. It hurt like Nothing else to shift, but I managed to ride it home the rest of the way. The next day my leg was black and blue from the knee down, wife literally had to drag me to the ER. Dr. said no walking for 21 days, I was back on the bike 2 days later. After all he didn't say no riding.

Lmao wow. I'll get some pics from my PC and post em later. That story was crazy but I got into an accident and broke my femur bone in half. After rehab and some weeks with a walker, I was riding with crutches on the side of my bike. I couldn't stay away

Thanks a Million. Took me forever to respond. I took a break from the Internet but I'm back so we can see who else may ride on AC. Ride safely and enjoy the summer

That color is sick and that exhaust sounds sick. What else you gonna do to it? I'm good with mine as is. It's a limited edition so I don't want to spoil the value putting too much stuff on it.

Just recently got off the two wheels after riding as a primary mode of transportation when I didnt have my kids for the last 7 years. Just had way too many close calls, other drivers not paying attn...

What I had: 2006 Yamaha R6V. Graves carbon fiber exhaust, velocity stacks, sliders including a clutch slider, moto gp shift mod (1 up 5 down), graves led blinker mods, clear alternatives integrated tail light, power commander 4, HID's, pazzo levers, vortex rear and front sprockets with a DID X ring chain 1 down in the front and two up in the rear sprockets, puig double bubble windscreen, probably more that I'm forgetting.

I'm getting ready to do some engine upgrades on the Softail, I'm thinking an Andrews ev27 cam, SS Quickee pushrods, new lifters, rejet my carb (maybe replace it if I can get a good enough deal on an SS Super E full kit). Also going to put a new amplifier in, and new saddlebags, I will do the wrenching myself, then once I get it done I will take it to a local dealership and have them run it on their Dyna....

I had a buddy that runs a bike shop come up and pick my Softail up with his trailer. He brought it back with the work I described in my last post completed. Here's what it sounds like now.

I thought having this work done would make it easier to deal with not being able to ride for a few more months, but in some ways its made it harder. At least I know the bike is and will be ready when I am.

I've been a rider since I was a kid in dirt bikes. Started racing and street riding 17 years ago. I fall more towards the sporty side, though more long distance and touring anymore, less racing.

The current ride is an 04 z1000. Its the first time in years I've been down to 1 bike.

I'll be adding another Hayabusa f

or Iron Butts next year.
