I dropped my NC the other night on tile floor. Even though it had a book-style cover on it I still managed to drop it directly onto a corner of the device. There is now a crack in the top-left corner of the screen and the top 1/2 inch row of LCD's has gone completely useless.

I'm running CM7 off of the SD card and my question is if there is anyway to manipulate the lcd density or screen settings to negate the missing 1/2 inch row across the top of the screen?

With tablets getting cheaper and more powerful I really don't want to invest in another NC, but I don't want to simply set the thing aside as useless because I love the functionality that i get out of the device as an ereader, browser, etc.

Any ideas would be most appreciated!

Are you still covered by warranty? I would give BN a call to see if you can get a replacement. Other than that I really don't see how you could navigate a broken screen.

I checked out other experiences with warranties and I was under the impression that bn didn't cover nook screens for drops.
