Please help: K-12 school - Arguments for Android tablet vs iPad

Hello,

my kid's school wants to pay a ton of money to buy iPads instead of Android tablets; Help me find arguments to convince them otherwise! If you know:

- good K-12 apps,
- have read credited reviews to this discussion,
- know schools that picked Androids,
- know good reasons why Android vs iOS (soft or hardware)
- good sources of market developments
- etc

please add it to this thread. Thanks

I'd vote for using that money to improve education...a tablet can be a great tool but as a teacher I'm more concerned with the fact that kids can barely read a book when they get the high school. Buy them lots of books for the 299 cost of a tablet then when the break or steal it it won't hurt.

In regarded to convincing...you can never go wrong with showing them the price, I will look up some apps for you.
