Rooted Nook Color your device isn't compatible with this item

Rooted Nook Color 1.4.2 with CM7 on sd card..
However a large portion of the apps (Facebook, Wells Fargo, Weather etc) are not available in the Market (now Play Store). I get a "your device is not compatible with this item message". I see lots of comments on forums regarding the same issue but they are mostly older (from the end of last year). Nonetheless, I've tried some of the suggestions (1. changing screen density, 2. reverting to older market and freezing updates, 3. clearing market data and cache) but nothing seems to work. Has anyone else seen the same thing with these newer versions of software?

I got a refurb in Sept. 2011 so mine is an older model. Have you tried the Amazon appstore. I was able to find some apps that the market could not see on mine. However, Amazon appstore is very limited.

Thanks. I was trying that last night, but while I was having trouble installing amazon apps, I hit a setting that reset to factory. Will try again today.

What version of CM7 are you running? If under nightly 200 or Stable 7.1 it is time to upgrade.
