    Default Side Loading apps

On rooted Nook Color, whenever I try to side load an *.apk file using Root Explorer and then click on it, I get the following message "Installation of downloaded apks is not supported." Any idea what I am doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

Same issue here with getting that message, but unsure exactly what side loading a file is/does. Anyone care to enlighten me? Thanks

Go to nookcolor tools and make sure the ability to install apps not from the market is enabled. Also, it states where to install the apps to. I think it's /system/apps or something along those lines.

If it is checked, check it and then uncheck it, then reboot.
