    If you want to turn it off...hold down the power button for a few seconds.

    If you have Clockwork flashed, when you power back on, hold down the Nook button and power button together and then release to get to the recovery menu.

    If you reboot a few times and it still loops, you'll probably need to refer to the stickied restore to stock thread.

    thats not working, i doubt clockwork is flashed because i haven't had the chance to install it again. i just wiped data installed nookie on my internal memory then hit reboot, it rebooted and the sideways android text came up then the boot logo came up and it just stays there.

    I'd follow Will's advice and return to stock and try again, it helped me when I got stuck in a reboot loop...

    Here's a Link to his instructions for you.

    I found that the automatic updates in Market screw up the latest manual nooter. Here's how I fixed the problem.

    *IMPORTANT* You have to do this before the Market first updates itself resulting in an endless boot cycle. This procedure will unfortunately also stop automatic updates to the Market. However, it also stops the Nook Color going into the endless boot cycle after the first Market update.

    1. Wipe the device (8 failed boots) and clean the memory (press and hold n while booting and keeping the power key depressed).
    2. Complete the B&N registration process.
    3. Upgrade to the latest B&N firmware (I tried 1.2 manually)
    4. Use CMW and manual nooter to root your Nook Color.
    5. Use the Market to download Terminal Emulator

    This is being caused by the new versions of Adobe Flash and Air (maybe su too). There are some threads here and at xda. Careful what you update.

    acser and gldnbear...

    Thank you so much. I thought I was going crazy or something was going physically bad on my nook. Had to wipe and reinstall everytime I reset my device...which incidentally I can do really really fast now haha. I couldn't find anything on this particular problem that was current.

    <new_reboot problem>
    I just attempted to update the Google apps on my rooted NC using Clockwork. All is backed up, but I've tried everything that I know to stop this loop of "Touch the Future of Reading" then to a blank screen, over and over. I tried removing the micro SD card, I tried holding down the power+Nook button, does anybody know how I can get the unit to stop this loop, and let me enter safe mode to re-boot an older backed up ROM?
