I'm curious what the rest of your are experiencing with the Nook and the new website for Android Market.

I finally got my Nook (Nookie on SD) to show up as a device, but it claims most apps are not compatible when I try to install them. The same apps that show as incompatible on the website show up and install just fine when I search the market on the device.

I had just the opposite experience. The market on the device would not show me many apps that I could find and install from the web. This included some apps that were already installed on the NC.

Example: I had the older version of FB on the device, AppBrain showed it needed updating, market would not show it at all, new Market site let me install it and when it pushed it pushed as an update. This was with the build fingerprint shown in the stickied tips post.

Have you changed your build fingerprint?

I have a guess that some of the inconsistencies I'm seeing are because there appear to be (at least) two keys that may affect what shows up in the market. There is the build description and the build fingerprint. 0.5.9 and 0.6.6 have different defaults so that gives several combinations that someone at different stages of the process might have.

0.5.9 defaults:
ro.build.description=zoom2-eng 2.2.1 MASTER eng.root.20101213.114756 test-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=generic/zoom2/zoom2/zoom2:2.2.1/MASTER/eng.root.20101213.114756:eng/test-keys

0.6.6 defaults:
ro.build.description=passion-user 2.2.1 FRG83 60505 release-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=google/passion/passion/mahimahi:2.2.1/FRG83/60505:user/release-keys

Following the tips with 0.5.9:
ro.build.description=zoom2-eng 2.2.1 MASTER eng.root.20101213.114756 test-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=verizon/voles/sholes/sholes:2.1-update1/ESE81/29593:user/release-keys

Following the tips with 0.6.6:
ro.build.description=passion-user 2.2.1 FRG83 60505 release-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=verizon/voles/sholes/sholes:2.1-update1/ESE81/29593:user/release-keys

My nook isn't with me at the moment but I'm almost certain that's what I'm using.

I finally found some apps that show up as compatible, but when I choose to install them it never happens.

I wonder if it has anything to do with honeycomb. I was playing Honeycomb on SD when the new website was launched, and that is what I was in when it initially showed up on the market website. Now I'm back to Froyo. It didn't show up as a new device when I went back to Froyo, but my "Last Used" column has been updating so it is connecting to whatever makes the website work.

Now I'm to the point where the market website has stopped recognizing my nook. The odd thing is that I installed an app through the market on the nook and it immediately showed up on the website as installed. If I clicked on the installed button it still shows only my phone and not the NC. I'm going to go ahead and upgrade to 0.6.7 anyway, and I'm curious if it'll do anything.
