Default microSD with Froyo for Sale, can it exist?

Maybe this is a dumb question. But I am getting my *** kicked by ADB. I've tried everything, just can't get it install on my PC correctly.

I can easily run Froyo off my microSD. I just cant seem to install ADB and get the market on it.

If someone had a card with the apps loaded on it could they sell it to me, and all I have to do is insert it into my Nook and tada.... I could use the market just like on my Nexus One phone?

what you should do is just take the stock os and just root it...it will put the app store on it and you dont need to use adb. but if you really wanted froyo i could probably make one for you in a day or 2

I sent you a private message with some instructions that helped a friend out.

If that fails, I'd do it for you for free if you got me the card.

There is a post in the xds forums w a zip file that has every thing you need, I was having the same problems. The file has cw, root and gapps w market, all you do is download the file, unzip, burn image to microsd, then insert in powered off nook, turn on and follow instructions in the post w the file attachment, then wait for the files to install. Takes several mins for the card to install, but then your done! No installing cw to boot disc, no adb, its all in one file!

    Default The ADB beat down

I too am having my bit kicked by ADB. I can get NC to show up as a disc drive but cant get it to communicate. Drivers have been downloaded numerous times and my fingers are starting to melt into the keyboard.
I have froyo booting from the Sd card all i want to do is get GAPPS and market loaded. Any chance i could jump on one of those cards?

I have finally success with ADB.
    What helped:
Unmount the nook from your pc, go into the app NookColor Tools and click All Settings->Development then uncheck Auto Mount. This will prevent the SD card from being mounted automatically when plugged into the PC

After that I removed the VID_2080 card reader again and let Windows search for new hardware. It found the Nook and installed it as the ADB Composite interface, and ADB for the first time finds my Nook!

Not sure if this will help anyone else, but those who tried everything else might give it a chance...

Are you booting froyo from the card or did you flash to the rom?

How did you remove the VID_2080 card reader?

ndinfla, sorry, I'm not on Froyo yet, I thought I get my ADB issues solved first. But I believe once you installed Froyo you will have access to the Nook Color Tools?

And how to remove the VID_2080 drivers is explained in nearly all the ADB installation examples.

    nope this installs to device

I just want to make a note that this install has several nice apps included, but I was not able to get any apps to download from the market for me (yes I tried the fix to clear market cache...) I also had my device lock on the first screen twice upon rebooting. So I'm going back to B&N 1.1 update, rooted unless I can find something that will run on my device, allow install of apps and not crash on me!!

I don't see an app NookColor Tools on the froyo list of apps, just "Dev Tools" and "Settings"

I do see an app for OMAP3 Camera. I wonder if I have an image of Froyo that is a little different than others

If your PC is seeing the nook correctly, but ADB isn't working...Unplug your phone from the PC. Open Terminal emulator. Type 'su' and hit enter. Reconnect and try ADB again.

I recommend you to root the stock rom. Its way faster and more stable than froyo right now
