NC howto: Backup .apk (from Market) to Windows XP c:\drive ?

I would like to backup the numerous files (.apk) that I've downloaded from Market. I have ADB installed and have used it to install some apps from a dos prompt but I can't figure out how to use ADB to copy the .apk files from sdcard.

I've tried various attempts using adb pull, with no success.

Is there an easy (Windows-like) app that I can use to drag and drop from the sdcard to a local Windows drive?
