can anyone help me get netflix to work?
Hi all, I'm new to the nook color... I was hoping to run netflix on this but I haven't been able to get it to work. I've read everything here and on the xda forum - much of it is all greek to me!! The closest I've gotten was with the "device check disabled" version but then I get an update prompt and that's as far as I go.
My laptop gave up the ghost last night- I'd love to have netflix without having to buy a new one!!
Would anyone be willing to help me figure this out?

You should be able to just download it from the market (the current version doesn't check which device). If you are running a recent nightly with a 2.6.32 kernel, the playback speed will be too fast. To correct this, edit /system/build.prop (I do this with Root Explorer) to change these two lines to:
ro.product.model=HTC Vision
ro.product.manufacturer=HTC
Reboot and you should be in business. - 06-13-2011, 04:39 PM
