    Default no root softkeys?

I thought I read that someone had installed button savior on a NT but it requires root. Is there a similar app that does not need root to work?

Depends on what you're wanting them for. I was simply looking for something that would let me toggle back and forth between the Tablet's homescreen and the Go Launcher homescreen. I haven't rooted my device so Button Savior wouldn't work for me. The toggle switch showed up on the Go Launcher homescreen, but not the Tablet's. I finally found an app called SoftKeys that showed up on both. It has some functions that won't work if the Tablet isn't rooted. But it does provide an easy toggle between the two screens, and that's all I wanted.

I found the apk . The 3rd file at the very bottom of the post is the one I used.

I did go ahead and install button savior to use for exactly that, switching launchers. Thats about all it is good for without root. I do intend to root this thing..just haven't got around to it yet. Luv my NT.

I have already loaded Go launcher and plan to incorporate using soft keys recommended per this site. Thanks a million, been fighting the going back without turning the unit off/on.

What i have not been able to understand searching the net and forums is about the mystical "you can do some things but not others with a non-rooted tablet."

If I run the go launcher and I can find an .apk shouldnt it run? Or is there underlying operating system type files that are loaded with the root?

If the subsystem is true, is thee a way to tell if those files are needed or am i back to pot luck if an .apk exists across the net?
