ok, i discovered the app inventor today, so i've started making apps. i have one ready for testing (sort of a "hello world" thing), but i need testers and someplace to host it. what do you guys recommend for hosting apps, aside from submitting them to the market?

I use dropbox for my app hosting - just put the .apk file in the public folder, and then copy the public link to share. I also use qrcode.kaywa.com to make QR codes to make it easier for people to download the apps, especially since dropbox links can be quite long for people to type in on mobile devices.

What kind of app did you build? Let me know when you launch it and maybe I'll check it out!

brilliant, thanks! idk why i didn't think of that :p
i love kaywa's qr code generator, i use it like multiple times per day.

ah, my first app wasn't anything cool, just a one-button soundboard and a text box. i'm going to try to figure out the twitter functions later, though. i want to use them to show who is using my apps and when, like sending me logs.
