hey i flashed eclipse on my phone using safe strap but all that loads up on it is an eclipse screensaver when i turn my phone on, did i do something wrong

what?? there is no screensaver in android. are you talking about the bootanimation. if so of course its eclipse bootanimation, you flashed eclipse rom.

The first time I fired eclipse up I went into a boot loop (screen saver)... just pulled the battery (not like on a razr LOL)....life has been good every since......

How would one recover from a boot loop or a freeze on a razr? Wait till the battery dies?

I was stuck in a bootloop when I installed 2.1 last night. I cleared data/factory restore and it booted right up.

Most android phones will let you do a forced restart by holding power and volume buttons at the same time....just as good as pulling the battery....

I am stuck in a boot loop as well. I have not flashed any ROMs since Th3ory left and I used Bionic Bootstrap to install the zip file. I have been totally out of the loop for months. I see now people are using something called Safe Strap. Guess I need to start digging in the forums for a solution.

Nevermind that - Safestrap is just a different way to flash stuff - as I mentioned in an earlier post, go here, this should fix your issue:
