I've tried googling this for days and can't find a concrete answer.

Does the installation of Safestrap affect your ability to accept OTA's?

I read some stuff that Safestrap alters the preinstall partition which could cause an OTA update fail.

Does simply reverting to the "un-safe" partition, restoring backup and uninstalling safestrap get you back to "stock" to accept the update? Does safestrap even need to be uninstalled if the "un-safe" partition is loaded?

Did anyone here have Safestrap installed before 902 came out and updated with the OTA?

Thanks in advance! I really want to try ICS4BIONIC but don't want to face headaches down the road when Moto releases their blurred ICS.

Yes and no. Apparently 901 and 902 didn't have checks for preinstall. Over on rootzwiki there's a guy named timmy10shoes who's awesome at helping out with stuff like this. He walked me through setting up safestrap and what he suggested was go into root explorer, /dev/block, copy the preinstall file to your external SD card and rename it preinstall.img. this way if or when needed with the next update you can just fastboot it back over.
