blu r1 hd sim card issue

i bought an r1 from amazon and received it yesterday,my att sim card is not being recognized by the phone.my girlfriend also ordered an r1 and her sim card was recognized by her r1.one thing to know,my current phone is still under contract with att and im wondering if that may what the problem is.thanks

Your current phone shouldn't matter--you should still be able to swap the SIM. Does the Blu phone not even show that a SIM is inserted?

But the SIM works in other phones? You could try bringing the phone to your carrier and ask to test out a new SIM card. If no SIM cards work, then the phone's SIM slot might be dirty or faulty.

diddy,i reinstalled the sim at lunch and all is good.not sure what happened but im happy.thanks for your help
