Switched from 2gb sd card to a 8gb sd card but....

So I switched from the 2gb sd card that came with my Prevail to a 8gb sd card.

I copied all folders from the 2gb card to my computer and then installed the folders from my computer onto the 8gb card.

All folders show up on the 8gb card.

Here's the problem:

Now all my apps that are on the sd card don't work. They are listed on my phone but rather than having the app icon there is simply a dark grey sd icon next to them and they won't load.

Did I do something wrong? OR is there something else I need to do??

p.s. all my pics/wallpapers are accessible just fine (not sure if that info is pertinent or not)

I went ahead and uninstalled and reinstalled my apps that were on sd and all is fine now.
