Boost Samsung Prevail Touch Screen Not Working

I tried looking for an answer but couldnt find anything,
out of the blue my prevail touch stopped responding and its only the bottom half that doesnt work, i now cant unlock my phone the top 3 dots are the only ones that work and i know the back bottom works as well. help please

If you haven't already you could try a factory reset by booting the device into recovery; I don't remember if it's Volume Up or Volume Down + camera and power until you see the samsung screen, one will get you recovery the other will get you odin (yellow downloading screen; in this case pull the battery and try again). Volume keys are used highlight up and down in recovery and camera (you will lose everything on the phone; but it may trick it into working, if it's a firmware issue that is).
