It sold out in about 30 minutes time, I was one of the lucky few to place an order before it went out of stock, it started for sale about 7:30 am central time roughly 30 minutes to 45 minutes i know it was sold out. Quite impressive if you ask me.

I missed it online and finally found a retail store with them in stock. I started the purchase process until the clerk said the price was $229.

I asked why so much when it is sold direct for $179. He told me the $179 was temporary introductory pricing. I called BS and walked out. Maybe this is why he has a stock of them and no one else in my area does.

This was my first experience with pre-pay. I have been a Verizon customer for 15+ years and thought I would give Boost a try for my family phones.

Do Boost retail stores typically charge a premium like this?
