Hi,

I'm in need of purchasing a few relatively cheap Android tablets that come with a stock version of Android 6.0 or 7.0. Ideally 7.0, but can do 6.0 if it's upgradeable to 7.0 somehow. Preferrably in the $100 to $200 range.

These would just be used for developing Android applications by several people, so they're not needed to be powerhouses. Phone 3G/4G networking is not necessary, so having Wi-Fi only is absolutely acceptable.

I just want them to be able to upgrade to newer versions of Android, without having to wait on "third party" versions of the new OS, which often come out very late.

Is the only to do this is to purchase a Nexus device? Seems to be the impression from this article. How to Install Android 7.0 Nougat Right Now

I'm in the United States.

If no such tablet exists, I could suppose buy a phone model, but ideally I'd like to avoid that since the phones are more expensive.
