Hard Case or Silicon Skin?

I'm having trouble deciding which one to get. I would like the one that offers the most protection from drops, which type would offer the best protection?

I happen to be wondering the exact same thing. All my crackberrrys came with cases except for the storm 2. I used both an otterbox for when I knew it might take some knocks and had a skin from best skins ever for daily use. Right now I have the horrid Verizon silicone case for the Charge but I am looking for another. I've had the phone out of the case all day and it feels so much better. Since best skins doesn't have one out just yet are there any other options for skins/thin cases? I will look at the Verizon kickstand case this week but I feel it will be too bulky.

TPU case is best in my opinion
