Default Chrome browser (V28.0.1500.94) on Android tablet is not supporting full-screen browsing

The latest Chrome browser (V28.0.1500.94) on Android tablet is supposed to support full-screen browsing where the tool bar at the top should disappear as one scrolls down the page. I installed this in my Google Nexus 7 tablet (OS: Android 4.2.2). However, I don’t see this happening when I open longer web pages (e.g. Yahoo!). The tool bar remains fixed at the top and is always visible, even if I scroll down the page. Is there any browser setting that I need to change? Any help will be deeply appreciated.
