How to stop browser redirects?

I am tired of going to a site I want to go to only to get redirected to sites I do not want to go to or ad sites. How can this be stopped?

Which browser? Does this happen on any browser you use? If it's only on a specific browser, have you tried clearing all of the browser's cookes and search history? Or going to Settings>Apps>All​, selecting the browser, and Clearing Cache/Data?

Happens on firefox, chrome, dolphin, and a couple of others. Tried Adblock for android and it still happened.

I tried the beta of the Adblock Browser and it doesn't happen. So I think I will stick with that.
