Re: Gingersnap Root Utility (one-click ROOT!!!) Multi-Platform

Re: Gingersnap Root Utility (one-click ROOT!!!) Multi-Platform
I'm having virus detection issues on the ginger root file... when I download the zip file, my anti virus deletes it immediately. Should I be worried about disabling it to allow the file?Nevermind, my newest problem is the vague instructions here. I've turned on USB debugging and downloaded all that's required and rebooted my phone. I opened up gingersnap and clicked root and it says it's successful and that my device is rebooting but nothing happens. And my device is not rooted still.

Re: Gingersnap Root Utility (one-click ROOT!!!) Multi-Platform
Root access is done through an exploit. Its basically similar to injecting a virus into your phone. This method finds vunerabilty then injects the files needed to gain root. So yes your antivirus will see it as a threat but its perfectly safe.
