Switching sim cards?

So I'm getting a new phone that uses a Nano sim. My current phone uses the larger micro SIM. Is there a way to easy port my number and info my new Nano SIM? I bought a new SIM off Amazon but am unsure how to make the transfer.

You either call Cricket service or go into a storefront and have them do it

I tried calling Cricket but apparently the sim card I bought from Best Buy isn't activated and I need to go back to the store to have them scan it. What the hell?

Either do that, or get a sim card cutter and make your Micro into a Nano. Did that years ago. Still using the SIM I originally got when I switched to AIO (now Cricket) in 2014. Cutter came with adapters so I have been able to switch it into any phone I have used over the last 3 years, and there have been many.
