Does One+ One get OS updates quickly every year?

How quick compared to Nexus phones? I'm contemplating of switching from Nexus to One. But what about the OS updates?

I don't have the One, but it seems to have taken quite sometime before it tasted lollipop, so don't think it would be as wise a decision to swap from Nexus to it, at least based on updates.

On the other side, if you're looking for low cost high performance device, then go for it.

There are two different ways you can go with the Bacon device. First, you can stay with the stock out of the box experience. The update path on the stock build is certainly slower and more in line with how device manufacturers like Samsung release updates to their devices.

The second way you can go is with Cyanogenmod Nightlies and m-builds. Nightlies are updated each day provided that there are changes for the device. M-builds are "stable" builds that are fired off once a month.

Compared to a Nexus device which gets stock Android usually first when the source is dropped, any device may seem a bit slower on stock builds.
