Why does my screen show a picture of a shoe and it says paused?

My screen shoes a picture of a shoe and it says paused

There is a picture of a shoe on my phone screen with the word paused and I don't know how to remove it

What phone do you have? Often times you can simply long press the power button to reboot the device. If that doesn't work, then remove the battery (if it's removable), and re-insert to reboot.

That could be the step counter. Also, check this other thread and see if that helps.
