Dolphin not respecting Android proxy settings

I'm having an issue trying to view the traffic from Dolphin going over the wire. I set my Android device's proxy settings to point to a machine on my network so that I can view HTTP traffic and can see all the traffic in any other browser but for some reason only see requests for favicons coming from Dolphin. It also seems strange to me that it repeatedly asks for the same favicons on each request given that it should be caching them, i.e. I'm not seeing any If-None-Match headers.
