RSD Lite failing
I have the non-rooted version of 2.3 installed on my droid 2. I want to simply put the stock motoblur version of 2.2 but RSD lite continues to deliver me this error.
"Failed flashing process. Failed flashing process. (0x7100); phone connected"
I've done this before that's why I'm confused. I've pretty much tried reinstalling everything and it still won't work. I've also tried running rsd lite as administrator and placing the .sbf in the root of my c:/ and in my documents folder. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. - 04-03-2011, 08:49 PM #2
do you have access to a windows XP device? RSDlite tends to work better on those for some reason. Also what .SBF are you using? It must be the 2.3.20 full. I just did this with My D2 so i know it is possible. Now we just got to figure out why yours didn't.

Re: RSD Lite failing
raisinbagel,
Are you running Windows 7? If so, you need to run a specific syntax fm the command line, pull one up by clicking on Start, Run, & enter " cmd " (what is between the quote marks).
You need do " cd.. " down to the root directory of your windows machine, then cd to
c:\program files (x86)\motorola\rsd lite\ directory & fm there you need to enter the following at the command prompt:
sdl.exe -f VRZ_A955_2.3.20_1FF_01.sbf -t 2 keep all spaces in place & the sbf filename needs the underscores.
This will force rsd lite to run properly i.e. see the sbf filename & enter it. Don't be concerned by the failed flashing msg, just click on the first line, where the failure msg shows, & then click on the 'Show Device' button, wait a bit & even if it doesn't change that first line, click on the rsd lite 'Start' button. It worked like that for me.... btw, I am using rsd lite version 4.9 ...
