online rep chat bout bionic, will be thurs release

The live chats are for legit questions and for "real" people who are looking for help/info not this nonsense.

I dunno about you, but I consider myself a pretty 'real' person. I feel as though Motorola/VZW are wasting all of our time. So, me asking questions about the Bionic due to there being nothing official listed anywhere i can find...and getting a canned response... is annoying. I'm a 'real' customer and I have a 'legit' list of questions, just because some of us choose to ask via online chat vs calling or going to a store doesn't mean its nonsense. Granted, my expectations were beyond low that i would get any information, but I think its interesting to see the different responses we have all received and as consumers we all have the right to use any such services provided to inquire, whether you agree with the reasoning behind it or not.

Dont get me wrong, I understand what you're saying, but without releasing information they're bringing it on themselves.

You: I've heard a lot of Internet rumors saying it could be august 4th! Would you know about the phone already if this date is true?

Matt: I don't have any information about speculation but we are usually notified 48 hours before release. And I can tell you that it's certainly not been officialized


I've been getting this a lot and it kinda gets me thinking, I don't think there really is an official date yet for this thing! A lot of the reps have said that and that motorola hasn't informed verizon of a date yet because the bionic keeps getting improved. I wouldn't keep your hopes up for the 4th guys!

Continuing to harrass these people is wrong. You got your answer 56,000 different ways and are well aware that they do not know anything yet you still feel compelled to harrass them because you're not satisfied with the answers you are getting. That's not only stupidity its childish.

Let these people do their jobs and quit holding them up with the same idiotic question that you know won't be answered.

100% agree. These online talks are childish. I seriously can not believe how many people are posting there conversations on here that mean nothing. People seriously have that much time on their hands to message CS at Verizon knowing they will find NOTHING? I know Verizon monitors conversations to check the quality level of CS its customers are receiving, you think a rep will risk their job by feeding misleading or untrue information to a customer??? Get real.

The issue is not "bothering VZW with a consumer question" as that is what they are there for. The issue many of us take with this tactic is that you already KNOW that they will have no real, verifiable information on the release date. If they did it would already be all over a number of these enthusiast sites.

Yeah, I know I do have so much time. I know how many hours it takes to ask a cchat question and post them on here. But I'm glad it doesn't matter that it took you longer to type that. Gosh, glad you have so much more of a life than I do. If you don't like the thread, don't read it. Simple as that. But don't waste our time ranting when we don't care about your negativity. Let us alone and go do your own thing. Verizon is bringing it on themselves anyways

Its not about getting info from CS, because most of us realize that we already know more than they do. Like you said, VZW is monitoring the conversations. Maybe if they realize how many people are looking for information than they will give us something.

When was the last time they had 1-2 months of pre-orders for anything other than MAYBE a Ferrari....really, what are these guys talking about?!
Try ordering a Randall Made knife. 6 year wait! For a freaking knife! I know, completely unrelated and I don't think they will have pre-orders available 1 or 2 months before actual release.
