Who wants to bet that if there isn't any confirmation that the phone is coming out on the 4th he will just tweet something stupid like: System is restarting, waiting for deployment, blah blah blah..

And then everybody will be like: OMG he knew the phone wasn't coming out! he must be real!

I remember him posting a countdown on July 22nd with the time ending on Aug 4th. Then only 3 days later he posted a tweet saying "Salvation is upon us all in just mere weeks."!
He's unsure of himself, just like Kellex.

IMO, and I am new to the game here, but it seems to me that kellex follows a bit of the "throw enough **** on the wall and see what sticks" philosophy in his reporting. For example, this week in a short period he kept posting supposed leaks offering different release date assumptions, not really paying much attention to the source or giving any indication that it was a trusted source. The verbage he uses in his posts makes every new "leak" sound like solid breaking news, after which he changes his expected release date but all the while keeps throwing the other dates out there to cover his ***. Those kind of tactics seem to be poor reporting strategies intended to drive traffic to his site and little else.

I've quickly discovered I have much more respect for the AC mods/reporters who are more careful about posting shady rumors and speculation that don't include some kind of solid evidence.

I 100% agree with you. But as much as i love Android Central and its crew, I still give Kellex just as much respect. Kellex is less experienced. So he's going to post up some bad rumors and worthless posts.... It's not as easy of a job that most may think. I’m sure AC crew can agree with that. So you have to give credit where it’s earned.

MDB228 is like Santa Clause. We all want to believe he's real, that he can give us the present we all want (8/4 release date), but in the end, we're going to remember that there's always someone out there willing to go to any length to prove he's real.

@MDB228 is no longer relevant. Nothing more to really discuss. I appreciate the effort and entertainment value but the T minus fumble had such a weak recovery that I feel bad for the individual in his/her attempt to maintain some credibility.
