A specific day...

I'm really anxious for them to announce a specific day! That way I can go to Best Buy and get a phone told hold me over as long as I'm within the 30 days.

Hopefully they'll lay that on us in the next couple of weeks.

Thursdays in September are the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th.. For the "summer part" to be true, it would need to be before the Autumnal Equinox which is September 23rd.

Bleh.. that leaves a lot of September to wait through.

My hope is they're shooting for the 1st in stores with perhaps Aug 28th pre-orders. That's only my uneducated hopes talking though.

Biggest thing Motorola could do to help itself would be to give us in the next 2 weeks or so:
1. A release date
2. The final specifications

Patiently waiting and NOT holding my breath.

I predict that that all will be revealed the week after next when the FCC doc's become public.

Verizon/Moto -- Re-Announce it on Monday August 8th.
Verizon starts on-line pre-orders on Aug 25th or Sep 1st
Launch Sept 8th or 15th.

Just my guess...

Might want to double check, last I checked the reutrn window is now 14 days not 30

I thought they were going to freak out when August 4th was a dud.
I just want it announced soon, or I'll buy a different phone, and maybe not go the Motorola route. I'd love to give them my business as long as the phone is announced soon and they stop teasing me

I heard that the Bionic will release either 9/1, 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, or 9/29.

-Motorola did do their own GSM chip (see Milestone, Cliq, Backflip) but not a CDMA chip.

So sounds like it's pretty much ready and we just have to wait for Verizon to pull the trigger. I'm wondering if Motorola's own LTE chip offers any significant advantages over Qualcomm's chip?

Vzw will announced the bionic on Tues at midnight. Phone preorders go onsale Thurs at midnight. PHIL gets his test version Wednesday but can't talk about or give any tips till the following Thursday when phone pubilicy goes on sale. And the specs will blow us away. Quad core 12mp camera 5mp front super qhd screen and new prototype gallery that does holograms
