Okay to sum of the events of this delay, we have learned much about the new Droid Bionic.

We've seen the device pass through the FCC and subsequently approved.
Verizon and Motorola officially remind us that the Bionic is coming
We learned that a carrier testing phase would be in session and subsequently finished.
We've seen spy photos of the phone and rumors that it is running well and as intended.
We have released MAP dates that are approaching imminently.
We have photos of finalized specifications.
Verizon Store employees are receiving shirts for an imminent release.
There is a commercial finalized for a national debut...

How and why has this not been posted on Verizon Wireless or Motorola's site yet? What are they waiting for, we know everything, seems there is no sense in holding back. Are they trying to squeeze some last sales out the old 4g phone from uninformed consumers? I must admit, this delay (of official announcement) is putting me off a bit haha.

COME ON VERIZON, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! We want to end the waiting.

It is a bit annoying that they won't just announce the phone already, but I'm not one bit surprised. Verizon, as of late, has been known to wait til the last minute to announce any new devices, or should I say Android devices because I'm sure the iPhone will be announced a couple weeks in advance.

Even that email notice we signed up for...we will get that the day after it is on sale!

It'll be interesting to see when the Bionic is announced in relation to Samsung's GSII announcement on Monday.

I'd have to agree with you on that.. Signed up with VZW for email notice on 4G LTE roll out in my area. A month before roll out the local newspaper reported the date. Approx 5 days AFTER roll out in my area I receive an email from VZW... Ha Ha Ha!!! A lot of good signing up with VZW did....

After this announcement, it will definitely either make it easy or hard to go with the Bionic. Its going to get really exciting in the next few weeks!!!!

Come on VZW re-announce this darn thing already!!!!!

Yeah if I had to guess, I would assume they are holding it back from the general public for as long as possible in the hopes that people not in the know will come in to the stores and help them clear out inventory of Thunderbolts, Charges, Revolutions, D3's, etc...

They probably have plenty of those phones that they know would not sell if everyone knew the bionic was coming so soon. And yes, even though we know, the general population is probably pretty ignorant to the fact. Just my $.02.

That's what I'm thinking, try to clear out what they have now. But still...the Bionic is going to cost more anyways, they'd make more money selling that lol. Guess they're trying to get people to buy a Thunderbolt, and then hate their purchase and pay that outrageous fee to terminate and buy the Bionic. That's probably what they're doing.
And they're just teasing those of us waiting on it too. We really should have an official announcement like two weeks in advance.
