If they're shooting for a release next week, the phones are in boxes on trucks/planes/trains. Yes, there could be a software update being worked on, but at this late stage I doubt that is holding things up. Trust me, once a marketing push is underway with dates, it will happen regardless of how truly "done" everything is. Besides, we're already seeing the 8th in Costco docs and Verizon docs. I don't think there is much doubt anymore. It's just a matter of whether or not there will be preorders now.
These 4G phones do seem to need a lot of coddling in software though. Hopefully, this one doesn't suffer the Thunderbolt's reboot and battery issues.
Woke up to my Birthday this morning hoping to see news pre-orders started today and still nothing. LOL probably will have to stand in line next thursday to get one. Need to call my friend at VZW to hold me one.
I wonder the Verizon stores would put one of these on hold. XD

Yup... bummer. I hated seeing that clock disappear after BB entered their code. I just need to stay away from all the sites for the next week I guess, in order to make the next week go by faster.

Be on the lookout... next week the bionic launches! ... buh, I feel like they do this all the time and release nothing we didn't already know or truley fan-based. Sept 8th ill be ready.
