How to turn unit On & Off without Power Button

I've been trying to find ways to turn the unit off without having to use the power button.
It's somewhat difficult to press the power button while using it in one hand.
I downloaded Widget Locker. It allows me to replace the default lock screen app.
Widget Locker will also allow me to wake the phone up using the volume keys.
Much easier to turn on now.
I've been trying to find a way to turn it off using an app or widget.
I use 'Screen Off and Lock' on my Tablet and Incredible, but it doesn't work too well on the Bionic.
It will take me to the Motorola lock screen app instead.
I also tried 'Screen Off FX', 'Lock Screen', and 'Screen Off Trial'.
'Screen Off Trial' works the best out of the ones I've tried.
It has about a 7 second delay before turning the screen off.
I'm hoping I can find an app or widget that will turn the screen off without a delay.

i haven't been able to find a better solution than Screen Off by Iwashi Soft, but like you said, there is a short delay

Quick Boot and Power Control Plus make for a nice and easy widget

Just an idea, don't know if you want to root or not.

edit: Sorry I was thinking to turn the phone off, not just the screen.

is this the right one -> Power Control Plus (Widget) by Sirius Applications ?

this will let you turn off the screen without a delay? same as tapping the power button?

Sorry no, see my edit just before your post. I was thinking to turn the phone OFF, or to reboot (how mine is set). It doesn't have an option for turning the screen off. Sorry.
