1st Android after years of BB. Gmail push seems to work fine with the BIONIC's native e-mail app, but there is also the Gmail app that seems duplicative. Do I need both, and is one better than the other?

the gmail app supports most of gmail's "advanced" features (like starring, labels, priority inbox, etc.).

I use the Gmail app and have Gmail check all my POP3 accounts, so all of my mail comes into Gmail.
