This seems flaky to me. It works initially and always works for 5 seconds after screen is locked but after that the volume keys no longer work for waking the phone. With the power button where it is this is a must have function for me. Anyone know how to make this 'stick' or is it a problem with Gingerbread and/or Motos?

I've got the same problem. It works for a few seconds after the screen has been on and then it's only the power button.
