How do I take faster pictures?
I've noticed that when I take a picture it takes a very long time before the picture is taken. Is there any way that I can take a picture faster and multiple shots faster?

Re: How do I take faster pictures?
The stock camera app just sucks, really no way to improve it. However, if you are willing to root your phone, one nice thing you can do is install this camera app very easily which works much better:
MIUI Camera App
Additionally I believe there are other camera apps you can buy from the market that other people have said are better, but I haven't used them so don't know. Search the many other threads and you'll find suggestions. - 10-16-2011, 05:40 PM #3
Re: How do I take faster pictures?
I downloaded and use Camera Zoom FX. Auto focus and take the pic in under a second.

Re: How do I take faster pictures?
Actually holding down the button until you are ready is a pain and results in frequent out of focus pictures.

Re: How do I take faster pictures?
Shutter speed has been up and down for me. Sometimes fast, sometimes very slow. Doesn't seem to matter if flash is on or off or megapixel setting. Tried vignette demo and its not much faster. Maybe I'll give one of the apps mentioned here a try. Thx 4 suggestions

Seriously I don't know. I suffer with the same issues on my Bionic. - 10-17-2011, 08:57 AM #12

Re: How do I take faster pictures?
I always have trouble taking photos of my 1 year old son cause it will never takes the shot when he's looking at the camera. So I now I always use "sports" mode and it takes pictures of my son instantly and surprisingly in focus. I only use the the other modes when shooting still shots or adults who are posing where the delay does not matter. I have the free apps "Camera360" and "Vignette Demo" which are not that great. Can anyone recommend the best paid app for ease of use, faster pictures, best quality and most artistic options?

Re: How do I take faster pictures?
The best app by far is Camera Zoom FX - I never buy apps but this was one of them. Auto focuses fast many options and it's very professional.

Re: How do I take faster pictures?
I have been using Camera Zoom FX as will and it's brilliant. I wasn't stoked about spending the $5, but it was worth every penny. I set it to focus on wherever I touch, and also to snap a pic when I touch anywhere on the screen. Just touch what you want it to focus on and it will quickly focus and snap a high quality pic...incredibly fast.

Re: How do I take faster pictures?
The one thing it lacks are controls for brightness and contrast. I wrote them and they are going to add them. Other than that it's by far the best photo app out there.

Re: How do I take faster pictures?
Lololol troll fail. You're in an Android forum, none of us obviously care for iOS or an iPhone. Go away.
Anyways, I'm getting pretty good results, if you're a cheapskate like me and want the free way out, with the MIUI camera app. And yes, everything works, effects and zoom and everything else. It's very nice and quick. It autofocuses very fast, and I can hold down anywhere on the screen and tap the screen to take a picture, or just hold down the camera button and it'll focus and take a picture in less than 1 second in low-to mid light. There's a new phone that will run Crysis on Ultra at 120 fps on a 2160p display that's coming out 3 months after you buy your next phone.
