Any help?

Did you get your problem solved? I have the same problem, except it was working for a few days on my Razr and then stopped. Tech support wants to do a factor reset.

The thing is, this is my second Razr in 2 weeks and both worked for a few days with Backup Assistant and then stopped working. They want to do a software factor reset to see if that solves the problem. I told them that if that will just take it back to the way it was a week ago out of the box, then it will solve if for a few days, but two phones have stopped working on the same issue. I don't think it is going to get fixed with a software reset if it is resetting it to the same software again. My outgoing email stopped working on my Verizon email account as well on both phones. (I didn't change phones for this problem- they had sent me the wrong Razr- I ordered the Maxx and received a regular Razr the first time). My gmail account is fine, but I don't use gmail really. It is just to use all the functions of the Droid.

Did you solve the problem? If so, how?

Thanks!

Factory reset got Backup Assistant working for me yesterday. I lost the two Tasks I had on the phone, but the Contacts that are not in Exchange are once again correctly synchronizing to Verizon.

I'm still reinstalling apps, a few at a time, then manually synchronizing Backup Assistant to to see if I can identify an app that might have killed that function.

+1 on having no use for GMail, and I'll raise you my irritation at Google's new privacy policy, which is only supposed to apply if you're logged in to a Google service ... Of course, in order to access the Market and other services, you have to log the phone in, and there's no option to log out once your activities on those services are complete. Arggh.

Thank you for the information. What I have noticed today is I can send email from my Verizon account IF I do it over Verizon service and not from my wi-fi. Backup Assistant still won't work, though. I'd love to hear if you have the problem in a few day or if you figured which app is causing the issue.

I admit, I haven't really looked at the new privacy policy. I guess I figured there really isn't any privacy anyway.

Thanks!

Your gmail has all your contacts synced already. backup assistant is just a duplicate program and waste IMO.

I guess I'm just used to having BA active from last phone. I do know gmail has them, but I can't find them on my gmail account from my computer. I went to my account and looked at account settings and products. I can't find any contacts. I looked at my gmail contacts and there are none. Can you tell me where to find them within gmail? Thanks!

Not in my case. GMail is empty, and I'm planning to keep it that way.
