Is there some reason go launcher is so laggy on a fast device? It ran smoother on my Droid charge

I'm currently running liberty while rooted.
Is there some setting I can change to make it usable.

I didn't think it was too laggy but I find Launcher Pro to be smoother and better overall

I actually really like go launcher. But when I scroll pages it lags really poorly. I have the same amount of Widgets as launcher pro and launcher pro is fine.

Try this. Remove all of your Widgets then try it. Sometimes a double instance of a widget will kill a launcher. Also, I had extdate widget and it was working fine....and then my go launcher screeched to a halt. Removing the widget restored scrolling to 100% .

Having just discovered Go Launcher EX yesterday I must say how impressed I am with its polish and speed. I'm not sure what took me so long to try a third party launcher but I'm glad I've made the jump. Transitions are so much smoother than the stock Moto interface. It really feels like I'm using a different phone now. Highly recommended!

I'm running Go Launcher EX and all the plug ins for it, no lag at all except when I'm running a ram intensive live wallpaper. I'm on stock rom also.
