There was an article a while ago where they figured out that push notifications for fb for android only worked correctly if you used to have a blackberry associated with your fb account. Weird I know, but i came from a bb and have never had an issue getting fb notifications on my bionic.

I used to get them but haven't for a few weeks now. Also upgraded from a BB.

mine used to work (never had a BB), but now that i think about it, i also stopped getting them a week or so ago

I never get any on my phone but friend request and that's only if I open the app itself then it will notify me in the status bar of a request but never for a comment or tag etc. I always gotta go on the browser for FB to show me what's "new" (highlighted in blue). I would think after 2 years facebook would get the app to near perfection but I suppose not. there hasn't been a facebook update in a while but the iPhones facebook app is now the same as our browser.. so I bet that's what we'll be getting soon and hopefully it will work as well.

I can't get facebook to give me any notifications on either my droid x or my Bionic or the OG droid.

Mine are still working just fine.. so it is probably safe to assume its not an app issue, but an issue with your guys' specific settings. Check that all settings are correct. Maybe you need to reinstall the fb app. I would go to Manage Apps, find facebook, clear its cache and its data then hit uninstall. Then reinstall from the market and set it up again. Just a suggestion..at least that's what I would try if I wasn't having any luck.

Mine has always worked! Came from OG droid. Had a BB over 20 years ago I think.

Oddly enough, mine just began working again. They haven't worked since I got my bionic.

I think I answered my own question. I cleared the cache and data and uninstall and installed again and it was working again. Fyi I also stopped putting fb on auto end

I tried the clear cache and reinstall idea and it's been working like a jem..at least for the past 24 hours or so. (I'm also on .893 too)

Cleared the cache on mine, uninstalled, and reinstalled like the poster above mentioned. I'm getting the notifications again

I'm a former BB user and have a similar issue. Only FB Messages will show an icon on my Bionic. All other notifications will display in the red circle at the bottom when I log into the application. Very frustrating.
