For some reason, when I go to unlock my phone using the gesture screen it won't work about half the time. It registers the first few dots I swipe over, then changes to red as if I took my finger off the screen. It doesn't matter how fast or slow I do it. If I do the whole pattern it shows it as several individual attempts. The screen is clean, and usually I have to hit the power button, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on and try again before it will work.

Does anyone else have this problem? Any ideas what could be done short of sending my phone in?

Is this all the time or when charging

mostly while charging. Some other times too.

Have you considered instead the PIN number or password unlock screen?

Are you using a non Motorola charger? This has been known to cause this situation.

I only have this problem if my screen isnt clean. Once I wipe it with a good fiber I have no issues
