    Default Bionic photo gallery help

Ok I am pulling my hair out. How do I move pictures around in the photo gallery? Like if I want to move to a different file? I used astro, made a different file, copied the pics but then when I deleted them from gallery it deleted them everywhere, lost them from the file I copied them to also. Is there a tutorial or vid somewhere that shows how to manipulate files in the gallery? Sometimes this smart phone makes me feel so stupid!

yeah I am not a facebook/twitter person and I hate all that crap on my phone too. I was also very aggravated that when the guy at the store set my phone up and it synced to my yahoo email now all of a sudden all my email contacts are on my phone. I don't need them there, I just wanted my phone numbers there, now I have to wade through all the email contacts. This is my first smart phone and I have come to the conclusion that about some things it is smarter than I want it to be.

Get quickpic from the market. Way better than the gallery.

At first it bugged me that my Facebook contacts were synced but there's an option when you hit the menu key in your contacts for "display options." Then you can have only contacts with phone numbers displayed. Also under there you can set to not show stuff from an email account or Facebook, I'm sure it would do the same for Yahoo. It's nice now that my contact list isn't full, but it did sync some phone numbers from Facebook too, so now I have more contacts than I did before...and I technically shouldn't have their numbers!

I used Gallery 3D, but it seems it was removed from the market for some reason. If I ever lose my backup, I do suggest Quickpic. Gallery 3D has some glitches once and a while, and Quickpic was 100%.
There's a new phone that will run Crysis on Ultra at 120 fps on a 2160p display that's coming out 3 months after you buy your next phone.

Thanks for the tips, I did the thing with my contacts and that cleaned all those out. Also downloaded quickpic, I will give it a try and see if that is easier to use. Thanks again!

I quit using the Motorola Gallery on my Bionic. Really hated it. Quickpic was a suggestion, and I have been using it since. Best gallery app in my opinion

+1 to QuickPic. Also with regard to showing all your pictures, if in quickpic while you are at the "folder" level you long press on a folder it gives you the option to "hide" that folder so the images won't be in quickpic.

You can do it manually by putting an empty file called .nomedia in a folder, this just automates that process which confuses many people because it's a bit tricky creating a file without an extension.

    Good Luck
