So... I'm ebaying this POS Bionic
I will NEVER buy another motorola piece of electronics after this locked down POS. I'm fed up with Verizon installing new bloat on my phone every month just so I can get updates. Motorola's boot loader mentality is worse than Apple. I'm thinking of just ebaying this POS Bionic and going back to Samsung, maybe ebay me a Nexus Prime. I loved my Fascinate and I miss it so much.

In the end you need to find a device that makes you happy but keep in mind all 3 phones ship with a locked bootloader... and all three phones have ways of hacking them so that you can have root access and remove the bloat.. or better yet, use a custom ROM.

Re: So... I'm ebaying this POS Bionic
I have not had my bionic but a couple months but I think it's a fine phone.....screen could be better but aside from that it blows the charge and fascinate I had away big time.....once I got it on 902 and rooted this thing rocks......some phones just don't work for some people I guess.....I know I would not think of another Samsung anytime soon....I even had the rezound and sent it back cause I like the bionic better....

Maybe I'm trolling here, but really I love my Bionic. I can deal with the crap I don't want on it, it doesn't take up that much space. So, I'm good with it. Locked bootloader or not, I really don't want to root anyway.

Re: So... I'm ebaying this POS Bionic
All I know is on my Fascinate I did NOT have to go back to complete stock every time there is an update. I was not forced into some holding pattern for updates either, they were usually instantly posted for download on forums all over the place, usually even with an official leaked beta update to boot. Samsung seems to have updated the phone I had as much as Moto does the Bionic, so I'm not sure where people get that Samsung does not release updates for their phones... The Samsung modding community is far superior because Samsung does not lock down their platform near as much as Moto does. And each time you go back to stock there is more and more bloat you have to dig out to get your update to work.
Sure the hardware on this phone is far superior to a Fascinate, but a Nexus is superior to this phone. If you enjoy digging out bloat each and every time you do an update then hey whatever floats your boat...Last edited by McBane; 03-08-2012 at 08:08 PM.

When I got the Motorola Photon I thought the phone was awesome & it still is. I didn't want to root right away because I enjoyed the phones out of box experience.
Not knowing anything regarding Motorola history, I had no idea rooting would be a complicated affair. As time went on & I watched a few devs here work their magic, I thought wow....This is going to be interesting. It didn't take long for me to loose interest from waiting.
I decided my next phone wouldn't be another Moto simply because they make it to frustrating to tinker with.

I really feel sorry for you guys with such epic fail at trolling that all you can find is to troll the nexus dropped the prime from its name, especially on the AC forums of all the other forums that are known for trolling... it's like why did the chicken cross the road? LOL HAHA FUNNY GUYS AM I RIGHT?
Back on topic though, it seems most people who actually disagree with me are the ones who do not root or mod so I can see how this would be a great phone for you, because you never see the side of it that I'm complaining about.

Re: So... I'm ebaying this POS Bionic
What exactly was false about my statement? Why dont you do a google or even a forum search for Verizon bloatware and see how many people agree with me?

Once a month? There's no way. And Motorola's bootloaders are worse than Apple's? Laughable.

You've still not provided what exactly I said that was false, unless you fail to grasp the concept or sarcasm... which honestly wouldn't surprise me.

Re: So... I'm ebaying this POS Bionic
I see now that you just in fact fail to realize the sarcasm in my statement. Also google did code name the phone the "Nexus Prime" so the phone was called the Nexus Prime for a long time and still is in some circles. You may want to wiki that. That was in fact trolling on that subject by your part. My legitimate gripe about the bloatware on updates is in fact true and widely accepted in the smartphone industry.
