Possible 905 Data Connectivity Issue Fix
After Calling Motorola and Searching the net over and over i think i finally put two and two together and figured it out.
I was surfing many different forums last night and i seen were some people were also having the box pop up asking you to enter your google account password. I was noticing they were saying it was caused by google+
So i thought if Google+ was causing the sign in box to pop up... It would then be possible that in the background if you cant sign into your google account it maybe freaking out the phone causing the data to drop and pick up. Also people were complaining of Worse battery life. This would make since since your account would be signing in and out all of the time.
So here is what i have done.. Cleared the Cache for Google+ and then uninstalled Google+ (well at least the updates. It wouldn't let me get rid of it since i guess it comes with the Bionics new update.
Ever since i did that it has not dropped my 4G and i have not seen a White 4G icon all last night or Today... So maybe Google+ is the Culprit?
No guarantees but i still have my fingers crossed and its still working.. Post and let me know if it fixes yours to? - 07-01-2012, 09:53 PM

Never Mind the Google plus uninstall did not work after all... Seemed to work for a day then its messing up again....
Found another Forum where someone said they Had Verizon send them a new sim card and it fixed it since the sim cards that came in the bionic are obsolete.... I called Verizon and have one on the way... Ill post later this week when i get it and try it. - 07-02-2012, 08:21 AM #3
Thank you for the updates. I tried the Google+ uninstall and my phone has not dropped nearly as often as it had previously. Let us know how the Sim Card swap works out. Good luck.

Re: Possible 905 Data Connectivity Issue Fix
I haven't got my sim card yet... Its supposed to be here thursday... But i switched my phone to 3G or CDMA only and it hasn't dropped all day...
I hope the sim card allows me to use the 4G without Dropping any.... But i would rather use 3G and have Data than the 4G dropping and not letting me do anything 80 percent of the day. - 07-12-2012, 08:55 PM

Well got my sim card... No luck still drops data like crazy!
The only thing I didn't try was a complete wipe..... To much time to put apps and settings back.
I did however find a fix so that my data will work....
I upgraded to ics 232 and it's rock solid. I didn't lose any settings or apps and it only took 30min.
I should have done this when ics leak cone out... I must say ics blows gb away
Just download 232 on your computer (Google for download link or check xda)
Plug your phone in and copy it to the sd ext
The power off your phone
Push vol up down and power all at the same time.
Choose recovery
Then choose flash and choose the file on your sd ext.. Sit back and watch ics install
Now your data is fixed! And your phone is faster and much more awesome.

Re: Possible 905 Data Connectivity Issue Fix
for grins, i tried a new sim in my bionic about a week ago. didn't help one iota with frequent 4g drops. i've got another bionic and sim coming in the mail (my current bionic is my second--got it in december and for months it held 4g very well).

Are people still having the data drop issues? It got better after the first update and was completely fixed for me after the second. I would be out of patience now if it was still happening.

Re: Possible 905 Data Connectivity Issue Fix
I'm not able to get ICS to install. I've got the version for Blur version 875 like my phone has (It's currently stock, unrooted). I have the zip on my external SD card's root folder too. When I go to recovery, all it does it pop up a white triangle with an exlamation point in it and an Android bot next to it. And that's it. It doesn't progress any, let me select the file to update, etc. Am I missing something?
