    Default Data Drop / ICS

Okay, so my stock Xoom on ICS gets a pretty consistent 4G signal of around 100 DB and stays connected via 4G. My Bionic, stock with .905, gets a signal between 70-80 DB. Constantly going between 4G, 3G and frequently to no signal.

So, if the Bionic ever receives the ICS upgrade, is this a situation that could improve?

Still hanging on for the OTA - if it doesn't come, I'll just get a different phone. Don't want to root and keep up with all of that...

Well, you don't have to root to flash the leaked .232 ICS rom. And since I've been on .232 I have not had a single data drop.

Well, that may be an option, as long as I can remain on the OTA level.

Just don't go further than .232 and you'll be fine. There's been a couple newer leaks, but they re-write some firmware that prevents going back to 905 to get the OTA update. It may be possible to get those newer leaks and go from there to the official release once it comes out, but you'd have to wait until someone comes up with a way to do it.

Your other option if you don't want the leak is to try locking your phone into 3G only. That worked for a lotof people, myself included. At least then you won't drop the connection.

So far about the only thing I've found that doesn't work, is the letter "I". It no longer auto capitalizes or auto spaces after a comma if I want just that letter. Happened on the Razr too when it got the update.

The data drop issue is gone, we got Smart Actions, now have full use of both processor cores and the speed increased to 1.2 GHz (at least on my phone), the emergency contacts/notes from the lock screen is new and cool to have, and it seems like the screen color temp is a bit cooler. It's like there is an ever so slight blue hue to it, which I like. My screen filter app also now uses a blue'ish tint, which seemed odd because i didn't update that. Again, not complaining. Oh, and i also like that the virtual keyboard is now a dark theme.

I am on a leak and I still get random switching from 4g to 3g and I can't get back unless I toggle airplane mode. Happens 2-3 times a day.

    Bionic'd from my tapatalk.
