For most calls using my headset, the lowest volume possible is a bit too loud, but acceptable at least while driving. I even use a Tasker task to automatically turn in call volume down all the way upon plugging in headset. The task seems to work ok as I get the notification upon plugging in, but when I make a call, the first thing I hear is the ring at max volume. If I then hit volume down manually, the volume does not change, but the volume display pops up showing it at the lowest level. If I hit volume up manually, the level jumps down to where it should be. The volume remains where I set it for any subsequent calls made with the headset still plugged in. I really don't want to have to modify my ear buds for a band-aid solution. Anybody else experience this or have any possible solutions?

I'm having the exact same problem. No clue how to fix it. I'm running CM10.1,are you stock rom?

I was on ICS leak when i has this. Now on pacman ROM and it seems better. There is a setting in sounds to lower volume on plugin. I assume all JB builds have it? Check yours.

Disregard. I thought it went away, but I still have the problem on this ROM. Hardware problem?
